What members use it for
Typical use cases include backbone extension, service handoff between member footprints, protected paths, and capacity for new delivery opportunities.
SPN Alliance
Member wavelength services
SPN Alliance gives members a practical route to wavelength capacity across the shared estate, making it easier to extend reach between sites without building every segment independently.
Typical use cases include backbone extension, service handoff between member footprints, protected paths, and capacity for new delivery opportunities.
Channels are allocated across the existing SPNA dark fibre estate, with planning shaped around route availability, resilience requirements, and the member service design.
Passive DWDM channel pricing is published for Associate and Full Members, with lower per-channel rates as members allocate more channels.
Public pricing
Pricing is for passive channel allocation across the SPNA estate, covering all locations and multiplexers. Members choose which spans they wish to light and where. NRC means non-recurring charge; MRC means monthly recurring charge.
| Channel allocation | Associate Members MRC | Full Members MRC | Setup charge (NRC) |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 channel | £625 per channel | £500 per channel | £0 Current special offer |
| 2 channels | £435 per channel | £350 per channel | £0 Current special offer |

In development
We are currently developing managed 100GE and 400GE wavelength options across the SPNA footprint. These services are intended for members who need higher-capacity handoff, routed backbone extension, or larger inter-site requirements than passive channel allocation alone.
Availability is expected soon. Please talk to us if you have a route, capacity profile, or delivery window in mind so we can factor your requirement into the service design.
Next step
If you have a route in mind or want to explore capacity between SPNA-connected sites, we can review the requirement with you.
